As many of you know, my father and I proudly call Baltimore our home. While Baltimore most certainly has its challenges, we believe that our company and our desire to create extraordinary experiences can make a positive impact on the built environment.
Instead of simply hoping that Baltimore improves, The Bozzuto Group is proactively doing our part to make the city a better place.
Through a tremendous amount of direct investment in multiple concurrent projects, we are reaffirming our commitment and dedication to the city through action. Furthermore, the work that we are doing is best in class in terms of design, construction and customer service. Specifically, our most recent work at Anthem House, Liberty, Uplands and Alta47 are developments that will leave a legacy on behalf of all of us.
It is often difficult to zig while others zag, but we did just that, breaking ground on the $100M+ Anthem House in the midst of the civil unrest in 2015. Ours is a company that doesn’t allow others to tell us what we should be—rather we create what will be.
While some investors made the decision to avoid Baltimore, we continued to affirm our commitment to the city and our belief in a brighter future. At the Anthem House groundbreaking ceremony, my father said, “This is not a time to turn our back on this great city . . . Baltimore is a place that is growing, that is vital and that is healthy.” And as usual, he was right.
Our continued efforts to create the very best sanctuary for our customers in Baltimore allowed us to deliver developments like Union Wharf in Fell’s Point, Spinnaker Bay in Harbor East and The Fitzgerald in Mount Vernon. Now with the help of our partners at War Horse and Solstice Partners, we are incredibly proud to be offering Anthem House, and in the near future, Anthem House II. Additionally, Bozzuto Homes is building beautiful and innovative townhomes at Alta47 right down the street. Bozzuto Homes is no stranger to developing homes in Baltimore City. In fact, they are achieving spectacular success at Uplands.
We’re leaving a permanent and transformative mark upon Baltimore. This is true in other cities where we work as well. Our fundamental desire to create experiences that transcend the ordinary will continue to allow our company to thrive.
It is with tremendous gratitude that I look at the work you all have done and the impact it has made upon this city. The best part is, we are just getting started.
