Senior Vice President of Preconstruction, Mark Weisner participated on the Maryland Construction Network’s elite panel of Developer-Builders and General Contractors for the “Where’s the Work” Forum, held earlier this month in Rockville, MD.
The panel discussion covered an array of topics including a develop-minded construction approach, regional market trends, and upcoming opportunities in Montgomery County. There were several questions regarding the Purple Line, MTA’s new light rail system that will connect to Metro’s Red and Orange Lines in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties over a 16-mile distance and 21 stations. The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
This led to Weisner sharing details on one of Bozzuto Construction’s current projects, Chevy Chase Lake, a new 530-unit mixed-use market-rate community that will provide a new station stop along the Purple Line. “This will create a superior connectivity between employment centers across Montgomery County and Prince George’s County, which will positively impact the rental and employment market in the county,” said Weisner.
Bozzuto Construction is proud to work alongside project owners Chevy Chase Land Company and Bozzuto Development and is excited to bring the project to life with designs provided by David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. and Martin Architectural Group. Completion is scheduled for 2022.Learn more about Mark Weisner
