As I prepared to assume my new role as President of Bozzuto Construction Company (BCC), I developed a strategy centered around execution, accountability and building relationships. I believe these elements are interwoven with our successes and will lead us to continued growth and stronger partnerships with our clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
COMPANY PRIORITIES
Execution. At its core, general contracting is all about planning. Our planning begins with business development and marketing efforts and extends all the way through preconstruction, operations and warranty. As we work with you, along with other project stakeholders, we must develop fluid project plans that articulate a clear vision. We set ourselves up for success when we take a proactive approach and continuously communicate the plan and our expectations to everyone involved.
Accountability. On a daily basis, our clients and employees alike depend on Bozzuto Construction’s ability to execute. To perform to the best of our ability, we depend on individuals who are committed to their project and their teams’ success. In keeping with the Bozzuto core values, we strive for perfection and accountability in all we do. Holding ourselves accountable builds trust, which is key to maintaining strong relationships.
Relationships. There is no better outcome than having our client, consultants, subcontractors, and our internal team want to do it all over again. Placing a high priority on building and maintaining relationships upholds our reputation as a company that others want to work with time and again. The best reference we can receive is your repeat business.
Ensuring these priorities stay at the forefront of the work we do will create even more growth for our business.
COMPANY VISION
We are leaders in the construction industry, working in tandem with our fellow integrated Bozzuto companies to create sanctuary. As a strong and agile company, we are flexible and willing to adapt to changes in our market, resources and industry if we believe they will make us better at delivering remarkable experiences for those we serve. We will also build upon our success by concentrating on the following initiatives.
Employing new technology. The need for innovation and new technology in construction is more important than ever. For this purpose, Bozzuto Construction has a group dedicated to advancing technological efforts, led by Senior Vice President Josh Peters. Through their efforts, we will remain on the forefront of innovation by integrating new technologies into our business operations, which will allow us to operate more effectively and with more predictable outcomes.
Increasing diversification of product type in our work. Bozzuto Construction continues to grow and diversify our portfolio to include more hospitality, senior and assisted living, student housing, affordable, and mixed-use retail projects.
Expanding our geographic footprint. Our Pennsylvania team, led by Senior Vice President Dave Mandes, has made incredible progress over the past few years. As part of this growth, Dave is now exploring opportunities with some of our existing clients to expand into New Jersey and Delaware. Additionally, Bozzuto Construction officially entered the Massachusetts market late last year as the construction manager for North Quincy, a new $225 million mixed-use development. With more opportunities on the horizon, Senior Vice President Kelly Cantley is overseeing our construction expansion into Boston, as well as the South Florida market.
Maintaining our best in class preconstruction services. The level of preparation work Bozzuto Construction does prior to the start of construction sets us apart. To continue raising the bar, we are developing new delivery methods that reduce risk associated with the overall schedule and cost of building your projects.
I am proud of the work Bozzuto Construction has done and I look forward to working with our current and future clients to build even more incredible projects. It is going to be a great year!
