IN THE COMMUNITY: Recognizing the Ainger Place Project Team

Ainger Place is one of Bozzuto Construction’s most exciting affordable housing projects active in Washington, DC’s 8th Ward. With 72 inviting units, we are working alongside owners The Michaels Organization, Emmanuel Baptist Church and Ainger Place Development Corporation to create homes for many nearby families to soon call their own.

While we have worked to bring this vision to life, Assistant Project Manager Wes Kingsley has been an instrumental member of our team. At its heart, his role requires him to balance multiple stakeholders and adhere to the construction schedule and budget. Wes has met these expectations—and deepened our impact on local neighborhoods.

As a DC First Source project, Ainger Place gave our teams the opportunity to create jobs for many DC workers. Wes knew through experience that complying with the requirements of hiring district residents can sometimes be a challenge for contractors, ensuring that both council and community expectations are met. So, he got to work right away, proactively organizing hiring and outreach events—collaborating with the Ward 8 Council Members to include residents from the immediate area. When individuals stopped by the jobsite hoping to find work, he provided resources and served as their point of contact. By doing so, Wes helped connect residents to the opportunities they deserve.

We are proud to see how Wes’ caring nature and community commitment reflect our corporate values. Together, we are working to leave a legacy of well-run projects that benefit each area for years after we complete construction.
